Use natural light, keep the subject sharp, and include the whole plant plus a leaf, flower, fruit, stem, or bark detail when available.
Understand the limit
Look-alike species, seedlings, hybrids, damaged specimens, and incomplete photos can reduce confidence. Treat the result as a candidate to verify.
Privacy
Selected images are uploaded to the FoliagePal identification service to produce the result. Do not upload faces, addresses, documents, or other sensitive information.
Safety
Never eat a plant or rely on a photo result for poison, medical, veterinary, or pesticide decisions. Contact an appropriate local professional or emergency service when exposure may have occurred.
