By using FoliagePal ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Account & Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

2. Service Description

FoliagePal provides AI-powered plant identification, care guidance, community features, and related services. AI-generated content (identification results, care guides, sprite responses) is advisory and may not always be accurate. You should use your own judgment for plant care decisions.

3. VIP Subscriptions & Payments

VIP subscriptions are billed according to the plan you select. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the billing date. Refunds are subject to the applicable app store's refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with advance notice.

Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. Payment, billing, and refunds for platform purchases are governed by the respective platform's policies.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (photos, posts, comments). By posting in the community, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content within the App. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights.

5. Advertising

The App may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. VIP subscribers are exempt from most advertisements. You can manage ad personalization through your device settings. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

6. Service Updates

We may introduce new features or modify existing ones from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated service.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated plant care advice is for reference only — we are not liable for any damage to your plants resulting from following such advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. For users in China, the laws of the People's Republic of China apply. For international users, the laws of the jurisdiction where you reside apply. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
